Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management

Shuang-Bang actively responds to global climate change challenges by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and strengthening environmental sustainability management. Since 2023, the Company has adopted the ISO 14064‑1:2018 organizational‑level GHG emissions standard and established the Greenhouse Gas Inventory Management Procedure. Through clear division of responsibilities and internal management mechanisms, we conduct regular GHG inventories and disclosures for Yongxing Plant, Renhe Plant, Nangang Plant, Taipei Office, and employee dormitories. Each year, the Company commissions an independent third‑party verification body to perform GHG verification to ensure accuracy and credibility.

Replacement of High‑Energy‑Consumption Equipment
  • Continuously identify high‑energy‑consuming equipment and gradually replace outdated, low‑efficiency units with models offering better energy performance.
  • Prioritize upgrades for energy‑intensive processes and utility systems to improve overall efficiency.
Adoption of High‑Efficiency Motors and Variable‑Frequency Drives
  • Gradually introduce high‑efficiency motors and variable‑frequency control systems to adjust operating conditions based on actual load, reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
  • For motor‑driven equipment, adopt high‑efficiency motors with VFDs to avoid prolonged full‑load or idle operation.
Optimization of Process Operating Conditions
  • Strengthen energy monitoring and management by regularly compiling and analyzing electricity consumption data to support decision‑making for energy‑saving improvements.
  • Establish an energy monitoring mechanism to detect abnormal consumption early and continuously implement corrective actions.
Enhanced Equipment Maintenance and Operational Efficiency
  • Implement regular maintenance and inspection to ensure equipment operates in optimal condition and prevent efficiency loss that leads to energy waste.
  • Strengthen maintenance management and operational condition reviews to improve equipment efficiency and reduce unplanned energy consumption.
Promotion of Employee Energy Awareness and Electricity Management
  • Conduct internal communication and training to enhance employee awareness of energy conservation and encourage responsible daily electricity use.
  • Promote energy‑saving behaviors through guidelines and awareness campaigns to foster collective participation in energy‑saving actions.
